Forget what he did yesterday

Do you know what he just did hours ago....yep thats right...our little Aiden rolled over...from his belly to his back....I want him to stay little....:-)

Guess What Aiden Did????

So yesterday my son, Aiden James, laughed out loud for the very first time. Yes ladies and gentlemen my son can laugh, smile, play and boy can he FART!!!! OK last night his farts stunk so bad....We kept checking to see if it was just air...and thats all it was...Woo Wee....Poor Aunt Bonita and Janelle they got some whiffs of them.

Lil B's first

One of the most amazing things about having a baby is watching everyone interact with him. Little Brian has been so much fun to watch play with Aiden. He is the perfect age...big enough to handle the baby on his own and still young enough to want to. Lil B fed Aiden a bottle for the first time last week, and has taugh Aiden how to play a game of copycat. Lil B sticks out his toungue and then Aiden sticks out his. It is super cute. Aiden tries to mimic all of Lil B's facial expressions. Last night Aiden was getting fussy so Lil B went over and picked him up out of his round about toy. It's an amazing interaction between those two.

The LA County Fair

Well as most of you know it seems we have been living at the Fair lately. Jimmy and I took Aiden about 2-weeks ago on Sunday, then again that Wed night, then Grandad Craig took Aiden and I to the fair last Friday.

Grandad Craig bought a cool little light switch cover for Aiden's room. I remember as a kid my dad and my pop picking us up from Condit and taking us the the fair. I always looked forward to those trips. It was important to me that my dad take Aiden and I to the fair. We had a good time.

This last Sunday we went to the fair with Uncle Brian, Brooke, Lil B, Grandma Barbie, Grandpa Mando, Jimmy, me and Aiden. Grandma Barbie bought Aiden some very sweet security blankets. I am thinking I will have to go back and buy some more just in case we need some extra's. Aiden loves both the blankets. We had a super good time with everyone.

Aiden turned 3 months old this last week and we celebrated by taking him to his first soccer games. He did very good at both Brooke and Brian's soccer games.

Oh did I mention that we adopted a puppy from the pound. His name is Jack and he is a Black Lab/Pit mix. I have decided that Jack is going to be an outside dog, I know some people think that is mean, but Aiden comes first and I don't want Jack taking over Aiden's play areas. Jack comes inside at night after we put Aiden to bed for a few hours. We are taking him on two walks a day and I go outside and play with him when Aiden is napping. I really hope nobody judges us on our decision on how we are going to raise Jack, and if you do I'm sorry. Just remember if we didn't take him home on Saturday he would have been put down on Sunday. So I don't think having him stay outside is that bad. He is a very good dog by the way...he sits already and we are working on stay. He jumps a little but we are working on it and he doesn't tug on the leash when we walk. I even heard him bark for the first time today when the Gas guy tried to come into the backyard to read the neighbors metor. Good Boy Jack!!!!

Congratulations to my brother who got himself promoted this week to Produce manager as well. I guess it has been a very busy week. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures. Can you tell...I love my son....OH yeah one more thing...I QUIT F4L this week!!!!!!!!!!

Mom and Baby Class

Well we had our final Mommy and Me class this week. This was a GREAT class that Aiden and I were in. I hope that we can stay in touch with these girls and their babies. I really enjoyed having people to talk to that were going through the same thing as us. Here are some pictures of our babies....

The Beach

Well Saturday we took Aiden to the beach for the first time. We were celebrating Charlotte's birthday and welcoming home Jimmy's cousin Debbie. Jimmy, Grandma Barbie, Aiden and I left the house about 9:30. You should have seen everything we packed for Aiden and hosting a party for about 30 family members. It looked liked we were going camping for a week and we didn't need half the stuff I packed for the baby. See belofe for Aiden's first outfit...which we changed before anyone got to the beach because he had a major blowout.....YUCK!!!!! Aiden loved laying down on his blanket in the sand. Aiden ended up wearing 4 outfits at the beach but he still looked adorable. We left the beach at 9pm...after we tried calming the baby down for an hour. He was exhausted...he slept until 630 the next morning.

Mommy Mission Statement

Well we were asked to write a letter to our child in our mommy and me class. Here is my letter to baby Aiden....

Dear Aiden,

As your mom I promise to teach you how to love unconditionally, how to have the self confidence needed to succeed, how to live a full life and how to never be afraid to make a choice. Life is about choices and every choice you make will take you down a path. I want to teach you how to make the right choice and how to have the confidence in yourself to make a choice. I want you to know that I promise to always be here for you, to always help you make tough decisions, but as you get older I also promise not to make those choices for you. I want you to grow up in life and do whatever it is you want to do. I want to teach you how to be responsible enough to live on your own.
Aiden, I don’t want to be your friend, I want to be your parent. I want to guide you through life. I know that sounds harsh and I don’t want you to confuse what I am saying. I want you to confide in me and be close to me like you are with your friends, but my job is to parent you and sometimes a parent can’t be your friend.
My promise to you as your mom, is to respect you and your space, to cherish our time together, to prepare you for the world, to have rules for you to follow, to be here for you when you need me, to let you go when you need me to, to love you with all my heart, to support you in your life decisions, and to always help you get what you want. I promise to teach you everything you need to know to one day be a loving husband, a great father and a wonderful man.
Aiden James Ballesteros you are my son and for that I will help you accomplish your dreams, even if they are not the dreams I have for you.
