11-Weeks Old

Well this week's biggest thing was our trip to Disneyland, but I already told you about that. Sunday we saw Robert and Katie, they just got back from a 30 day trip to Europe. They brought Aiden a t-shirt from London. It is a little big but he sure looked cute in it with his Uncle Robert and Katie holding him.

Monday evening we broke out the one toy I was super excited about. Uncle Brian, Aunt Char, Brooke and Brian gave us this contraption at my baby shower. I kept begging Jimmy to put it together, and he finally did. Although Aiden can't really play with it yet he likes sitting in it and he can hit the little piano and make it play music. Thanks again guys.

Thurs night Uncle Brian, Aunt Char, Brooke and Brian came over for dinner in between the kids soccer practice. Aiden was an angel for them and I didn't think Aunt Char would ever put him down. Those two played together all night. It was great seeing everyone and showing off how big Aiden has gotten and how "alert" he is now. Oh yeah and showing off the great toy the gave Aiden.

Today, my Aunt, Aiden and I went to visit my Grandma Kemper. It was the second time she has seen the baby and she was absolutely adorable with him. She compared him to his newborn picture and kept commenting on how much he has grown. It was great to see her and I am glad that she is able to hold Aiden and see him grow.

Well we will be celebrating Aiden's first Labor Day this weekend. Right now we don't have any plans but I am sure that will change. Look for our Aiden update next week. He is fussing right now so I need to go tend to him. I love that little guy so much!!!!

We also celebrated Grandpa Mando's birthday this week, but I forgot my camera and don't have any pictures of this. I know I can't believe I forgot my camera. We had our weekly visits from Grandma Barbie and Grandad Craig this week too.

We missed Grandma She She this week because she has been dealing with a lot of emotional stuff at work. It seems that the street racing accident in Eagle Rock Wed night that killed 4 kids effected one of our Ralphs stores. The 2 sisters, brother and unborn child were relatives of a long time team member at one of our Ralphs locations. Mom has been trying to get counselors into the store for everyone to talk to and to get the Union, Ralphs, and the foundation to help the family pay for 4 funerals. It seems the parents of the kids were on vacation in Hawaii and the kids were staying with their Grandma. I know this is a very sad thing and doesn't have anything to do with Aiden but I thought I would share this with everyone because life is too short for drama and we all need to remember how valuable our life is and the lives of our loved ones. Please everyone be careful out there...drive safely and remember we love you all!!!!

The Happiest Place on Earth

I couldn't wait to share with everyone Aiden's first trip to Disneyland. It was so much fun. Definately a different experience with a newborn. Jimmy and I just pushed the stroller around and talked to Aiden about everything that was going on. We found places to feed the baby in private for our future visits. We took Aiden on the carousel in Disneyland and California Adventure. We sat in the shade and played with Aiden. We got him his first pair of Mickey ears. I can't wait until we go again, maybe next time we can go with our family members that have passes too!!!!

10-Weeks Old

Aiden is now 10-weeks old. I can't believe how much my life changed 10-weeks ago. Aiden started doing a few new things this week. He can life his head up pretty well when he is on his tummy, he rolled form his back to his side all by himself and he sleeps extremely well on his side. In fact Thursday night Aiden slept from 8:30pm to 5:30am...Can you believe it...I woke up at 3:45 just to make sure he was still breathing. Aiden is also growing out of his clothers pretty quick. Mommy is trying to put as many of his 3-month old clothes on as possible before they won't come over his head. Which means the little guy is wearing 3-6months.

We didn't do too much fun stuff this week, but we did go watch Aiden's cousin Brooke at soccer practice and then watched her swim at Grandma Barbie's house. The water was too cold for Aiden to go in...at least that is what daddy said. Grandma She She, Grandad Craig and Uncle Robert all came home from vacation this week. Grandma and Grandad siad he grew 2-feet. We haven't seen Uncle Robert yet but we can't wait.

We have decided to take Aiden to Disneyland for the first time on Monday...so next weeks pictures should be cute.

Since everyone else is....

Well I have been convinced to begin this blogging idea. Since we have so much going on in our lives I agree that this would be a fun way to communicate to everyone who means so much to us but can't talk to us on a regular basis.

This week Aiden had his 2 month checkup this week. He is 15lbs 7oz and 23 3/4 inches long. He is in the 95th percentile for his length and off the charts in his weight. He did really well with this shots. He screamed extremely loud for about 5 minutes, but then he was good. He had a slight fever afterwards and we gave him tylenol. He did very well and so did I. LOL.

We went to the park yesterday for the first time with Brooke and Brian. It was fun to see the kids push the baby in the swing...well sort of...but they did take him down the slide. Grandma Barbie and I were like the paparzzi taking a ton of pictures. We were going to visit with Grandpa Mando in the evening but his truck broke down and he got home too late from work. Maybe we can see him on Saturday.

Grandma She She and Grandad Craig are on vacation this week so we took the baby for a goodbye visit on Monday. Grandma She She took Aiden into the 5th wheel for the first time. Grandad held the baby for a long time and post poned his chores.

It has been great seeing our parents with the baby. It makes us realize how lucky we are to have such great parents and how lucky Aiden is to have the best grandparents in the world...OK so we might be a little biased. By the way...did you know...Aiden is the cutest baby boy I have ever seen....:-)
