Potty Training 2010

This has been a super long process for us. Right after Christmas we bought Aiden a little potty and he started using it once a day before bathtime. Every time I decided to potty train the Mister though it was a DISASTER!!!!! For months I felt like I lived in a urinal...constantly cleaning up Pee...after the 10 accident a day I resorted back to diapers. For a few weeks Aiden was great peeing on the potty if he was naked, but come on now...can you leave a kid naked their entire life. I would cry about it at night because I knew he was ready and I knew I was doing something wrong. Last Saturday we drove to San Diego for Baby Kali's first birthday with Grandma Barbie and I was sharing with her my frustration. She told me to relax and not stress about it. Some of my friends were telling me...don't worry it will happen when he is ready...They promised he wouldn't be in High School in diapers. Well I gave up. I was done. I was almost out of Diapers and was ready to go buy more. Then magic happened...
ON Tuesday, Sept 21st, Aiden woke up and I aske dhim to get me a diaper...what did her bring...He brought BIG BOY UNDERWEAR. I said OK, but if you have to go potty you need to tell me. Miraculously he did. He had 2 pee accidents that day both were my fault (heck I am learning too) and he even went poop on the potty. Today is officially day number 6 and we have had 4 pee accidents and 4 poop accidents. He is even going potty in public places like Preschool, LJ's and Toys R Us. He has gone at both Grandparents house and even on the tree at the airport. I am SHOCKED!!!! WE are using diapers at nap time and bedtime and putting a Pull Up on over his underwear at preschool. I am so proud of my little man. So very proud.
That being said boy oh boy have the terrible two's entered the house. HOLY COW!!!! He is honary like he hs never been before. But we are working through it.

4-Weeks of Preschool almost complete

Tomorrow will officialy be the end to our first month of preschool with Aiden. Jimmy and I are absolutely amazed at the progress we have seen in the Twister.

1) Sings Ring around the Rosies, Rain Rain Go Away, Days of the Week (sort of) and says many more silly sayings...like drum roll please.
2) He can count to 13 on his own and can even count objects. He is learing how to count with is hands to 10.
3) He will finish the alphabet when you sing them to the letter P.
4) He draws in a straight line
5) BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY HE HAS FOUND HIS INDEPENDENCE. Aiden is loving playing by himself. We have been working on this for a while now. It is so much fun to see him finally wandering outside to play alone, play with his cars, trains and even read his books alone. It really helps us get stuff done quicker.

I am amazed every day at the things Aiden does and I love seeing him learn from others as much as he learns from us. We are trying to teach him a few words in spanish and he his super gentle with his baby brother. Every morning he lifts up my shirt and kisses baby brother Brody and says good morning. He is known to take his Hot Wheels and roll them overmy belly and say "I play cars with Baby Brother."

Dear Aiden
Mommy and Daddy are proud of you. You open our eyes every day to a new world and we can't imagine that last few years wtihout you. We look forward to every memory and every moment we have with you. We think of what a wonderful big brother you are going to be very soon. With all the love we have in our hearts and souls we SHOUT TO THE WORLD "WE LOVE YOU SON!!!"
Love Mommy

Dear Brody,
There isn't a day go by that I don't think of how you are going to change our lives. How you are going to complete the family you dad and I have always wanted. We feel so blessed to know we are having another boy. And if by chance the docs are wrong and you end up being our little princess we can't wait to see you. Your big Brother Aiden can't wait to hold you and play with you either. He knows after Santa comes baby brother will be coming to. I promise to you that we will give you every ounch of love in our hearts and souls and SHOUT TO THE WORLD "WE LOVE YOU SON!!!!"
Love Mommy

3+1= a Family of 4

Although I am currently in my 19th week I don't remember blogging about our new addition growing in my belly.

We found on April 23rd and told our parents the next day. We tried to keep it a secret until Aiden's 2nd birthday and then shared the news with the rest of the family.

On July 11th we were told we were having a boy...at least the tech was 97% sure we were having a boy. Next week I have my 20-week checkup and on August 23rd I have an u/s scheduled so hopefully we will be able to get a 99.9% guesstimate one way or the other then.

Aiden has been extremely loving to his baby brother. He gives him kisses every morning and at night. He tells me "Mommy, baby brother needs to come out so I can give him a high five." He also rolls trucks across my belly and tells me he is playing cars with baby brother.

We have 3 names on a fridge and are leaning towards one of them, but we haven't stopped discussing names yet. (Although Aiden and I secretly tell everyone the name of baby B #2 because we know what it is) Daddy isn't ready to commit to a name so we still are keeping options open... wink wink wink.

I know most of you don't really care but I am very excited to say that I have officially gained 0.5lbs so far. Which trust me is a VERY GOOD thing. I am seeing my regular OB, a specialist because of my thyroid (and weight), and a nutrionist. It seems that all appt's every month happen in the same week. Which is stressful at times and at other times I get relieved b/c I don't have to worry about going to a doc eveyr week.

I am also trying to convince Jimmy that we should change the nursery. Although he wants to and isn't against the idea he just doesn't know if he will have time to. he doesn't really like me to paint on my own...but I wonder if I get the new bedding if he will just make the time...hahaha.

Here are the 2 rooms I really like...

Little Learners

Just dropped Aiden off at preschool for the first time without mommy. It didn't go quite as well as I hoped. Poor little guy told me "No preschool, mommy." as I unbuckled him from his carseat. I told him that it was OK that his friends would be there with him to play.
We get inside and take off his sandals and he starts crying...immediately!!!! He says "Mommy put sandals back on. No Preschool!!" We go outside so i can try to calm him down and stay calm myself. He cries and cries and holds on to me tight. I convince him to go inside and show mommy how he plays with the balls.
He does...he goes straight to the ball pit, but I couldn't leave his friends weren't there yet and I promised him they would be there to play. I should have left...I just should have gotten in the car and driven away. Of course I didn't...I linger and probably make it worse. As his friends get dropped off the report back to me "Aiden is fine." then I get "Aiden is crying." or "Oh yeah, Aiden is still crying."
I went to Target and walked around, still trying to calm myself down. Waiting for someone to text me to tell me Aiden is doing OK...but my phone is silent!!!! Finally make it home an hour after drop off and my stomach hurts, my eyes are watering and my heart is breaking. Is this the right thing for the Mr.? How long do I give it?
There is so much stress right now on making sure kids, especially boys are ready for kindergarten I really wanted him in preschool learning as soon as possible...but now I am thinking maybe I jumped the gun...maybe he isn't ready...maybe I'm not ready....Oh boy...being a parent is difficult at times

Mammoth

After we left Tahoe we decided to stop in Mammoth for a night. Grandma Barbara and Grandpa Mando joined us. We hadn't been in our room for 10 minutes before I decided I wanted to stay another night. (Thanks to the successful gambling in Tahoe)
Jimmy (our tour guide) had us pretty busy. :-) We hiked to Devils Postpile, Rainbow Falls and then to Red's Meadow the first day.

Then second day we took the gondola ride to the top of Mammoth and watched skiers, yep thats right skiing in mammoth in July, go off the side of the HUGE summit. We went swimming, flew kites and explored some local camping grounds. I can't wait to get back.

Day number 2 of Big Boy Bed

Aiden went down for his nap after a few kicks against the wall and maybe 30seconds of tears. Jimmy put Aiden down for bed by himself and says Aiden went to bed right away at 8 and slept until almost 6:30 this morning.
I am so proud of my little man!!!!!

Greg and Audrey Madrid - The Nuptials and more

Our trip to Lake Tahoe was a vacatoin treat due to the fact that Jimmy's cousin Greg decided to get married to his wife, Audrey in Lake Tahoe. We had a very good vacation because of this wonderful occasion.
On Saturday evening Greg's mom, Diana, hosted a dinner at the local pizza place. It was lots of fun and a very relaxed environment for us to enjoy the company of all the wedding guests and meet Audrey's family. Although I was a little nervous about how Aiden would do at the late hour, he surprised us and did awesome. Our little man definately showed us how flexible he can be.

Picture of Greg and Audrey in the infamous hats...:-)

Aiden giving Sydney a hug so he can take her candy

The wedding took place on Sunday at the Chart house in Lake Tahoe. It was a beautiful locatoin and the wedding was very sweet. Seeing the tears in Audrey's eyes brought a warmth to my heart. The wedding was perfect and Greg and Audrey were extremely gracious.

Lake Tahoe

We drove up to Tahoe for Greg and Audrey's wedding. But the trip became so much more. It was an amazing adventure and one i can't wait to do again. The drive took about 12 hours and Aiden did AMAZING. He was awake almost the entire ride and slept for maybe 2 hours.

After we checked in we found a perfect spot for the Twister to get his wiggles out. A park on the beach. Aiden kept calling the Lake the "ocean" and after trying to correct him a million times we just let him. We enjoyed the snow capped mountains in the background of an amazingly beautiful lake and let Aiden play on the slide, monkey bars and swings.
The next day we decided to take a hike to some castle (sorry i don't remember the name.) It was the first time we were going to try out the back pack Addy let us borrow. Aiden loved it!!!! Not quite sure daddy did though. The castle was very interesting and the stories the tour guide shared were captivating. Aiden seemed to really enjoy himself as did Jimmy, me, Barbara and Mando.

Our final day in Tahoe we sent to an old mining town, Virginia City. We had a good time looking at the history and walking through the touristy little shops. But the definate highlight of the trip was seeing Aiden's excitement as he got to ride his very first real live Choo Choo Train. It was pretty cool because the diesel engine was broken and we got to see the steam engine work. They say the steam engine only comes out once or twice a year. Aiden had the hole train singing his "All Aboard" song from preschool. He was in ahh of the "Thomas the Train"

P.S. More on the wedding to follow..>I need to go pick up Aiden.

Slight Detour - Aiden's 1st Day in his Big Boy Bed

For Aiden's 2nd Birthday we did the extra room into his Big Boy room. Jimmy spent almost 6 months painting Dr. Seuss characters on the wall, my aunt, cousin and mom bought us the bedding, pillows and other decor for my birthday and Christmas. As soon as it was done we moved all Aiden's toys out of the living room into the Dr. Seuss Big Boy room. It was ready...except it was missing something very important. Aiden and his clothes!!!!
So yesterday we decided to take all of Aiden's stuff out of the nursery and move it into the big boy room. We even took down our crib and returned it to Babies R Us. (It was recalled so now we get to get a new one for the new baby). Aiden helped us take down the crib and was all excited about his new room. Well that was until we got to Babies R Us. He told Jimmy and I "Buy me a new crib." We told him that he was too big for a crib and that we had a new bed all ready for him at home. It seemed to appease him at the time. So we had lunch and got home a around 1:30. Just in time for nap time.
We knew we would hear some tears but were not prepared for what Aiden had in store for us. After 40 minutes of screaming I went into his room and told him it was time to take a nap. He said "Mommy sleep with me." So I did exactly what I didn't want to do, I laid down with him. After 15 minutes he was out like a light. But as soon as I got off the bed he said "Mommy come back." I fibbed..I said "mommy has to use the restroom I will be right back." Then I went to lay down on my bed. So next thing I know here come Aiden walking down the hall..."Mommy where are you." Supernanny kicked in at this point and I picked him up put him in bed and said "It istime to take a nap." then I walked away. For over an hour he got out of his bed and I put him back in bed without saying anything. I was annoyed, frustrated, exhausted (Jimmy worked Midnight to 8am the night before so I didn't get much sleep.) and worse of all I was begging for Jimmy to go get Aiden's crib back. After 2 hours of a no napper I cancelled nap time.
After a nap debacle we decided to go visit my parents. Stayed a little later than we probably should ahve especially since I hadn't made dinner. We got home around 7, I made dinner and we ate, gave Adien a bath and had him ready for bed about 8. We put him in bed, gave him his milk, said our little prayer and then left the room. He cried...Jimmy and I stood in the hallway holding each other back from re-entering the room for a few minutes then went to the couch and waited. Aiden cried for less than 5 mintues and went to sleep. He slept all night and woke up around 6:45am.
I am still in shock and I don't expect today to be the same but I hope he sleeps all night again!!!!!

Aiden, Daddy and Grandma's 2nd Birthday Together

WE celebrated Aiden's 2nd Birthday Dr. Seuss style. It was amazing to actually see Aiden enjoy his birthday this year and not just be the center of attention. Of course the menu was carne asada, chicken, and carnitas. Daddy and Uncle Brian did the bbq'ing and I was in charge of the rest.

During the party we also chose to tell the family about our pregnancy. It was so much fun seeing everyone read Aiden's shirt and realize what it meant. Although some people found out early by accident they all seemed to be excited for us.

This year I had a very special helper, someone that kept me calm and cool when things started to unravel. Somebody he has actually been around since before I meant Jimmy. My best friend extended her So Cal trip to stay with us for a few days and helped a TON in the kitchen the day before and the day of the party. KIMI there are no words to say how much I appreciated all you did.
Aiden had a GREAT time at his party, blowing bubbles, jumping in the bouncer and hitting the pinata. I think he really enjoyed opening his presents and his cake too. I know Jimmy and I enjoyed watching him play, laugh, giggle and eat his yummy cake!!!

Almost 2!!!!

I have spent a lot of time lately looking at pictures taken on June 13, 2008. I can't believe how lucky we are to have a healthy boy in our lives. I barely remember the days before Aiden was born. But as I look back at all the pictures I have realized how many people came out to meet our little bundle of joy in the precious first hours. If I have never said it before thank you all.
Jimmy and I could not raise our son alone. We believe it takes an army to raise children these days and we couldn't ask for a better one than the family and friends that have helped us along the way. Not only are we blessed to have a wonderful, healthy little boy we are blessed to have amazing friends and family surround us with love and joy everyday.
I have to admit I was kid of anti big birthday parties b/c I thought that the party idea gets lost. That it becomes more about the guests and less about the kids. But recently (and I mean very recently) I have realized our birthday party celebrations are not just about celebrating the wonderful day our son was born but thanking each and everyone in attendance for there amazing love, support and help in raising our family. Each of you have taught us something and this year when you come to the birthday party for Barbara, Jimmy and Aiden I hope you remember that we are celebrating you and thanking you for everything you have given us. (That goes for those unable to make it as well)
Oh boy am I going to be an emotional mess in about 9-days....

It's Official....

I have lost my privacy!!!!

Today I was going to the restroom...and yes I think Aiden is old enough for me to do this with the door closed. I'm doing my business when I hear Aiden say "I want in there, the bathroom mommy." and then he proceeds to open the door and come right in!!!! The worse part is instead of leaving me alone to finish my business he starts handing me toilet paper and says "Wipe all done mommy"

Happy Mom's Day MOm and a Happy 26th Wedding Anniversary mom and dad

Yesterday we decided to take my parents to the Long Beach Aquarium for Mother's Day and their anniversary. Unfortunately Katie and Jimmy had to work and couldn't join us. We had a fantastic time. I don't get to see my parents interact with Aiden quite enough so when I do it mean s alot to me. Aiden seemed to really enjoy himself and my mom seemed to really enjoy showing Aiden all the fish. He got scared once when the Sea Lion swam up to the glass he was peering through, bu tother than that Aidenwas Mr Curious.

After the aquarium we went to Lunner (lunch and dinner) at PF Chang's. YUMMO!!! Then we walked down the to "ocean" because Aiden wanted to see it. He kept asking us for the ocean all day. We walked down the pier and watched some boats come in. Well at least that is what we were saying we were doing. IN reallity I was watching Aiden like a hawk afraid he would fall into the water. Luckily Aiden got to enjoy the ocean and the boats and mommy didn't have to take a swin in the cold ocean.

My parents decided that they wanted to stop by the Beach Shack on the way home so we stopped in to visit GG and Uncle Steve for a little bit. They were napping when we rang the doorbell, but were ver hospitable and exciting to see all of us. Aiden enjoyed playing with Bella and Alexa's toys. He especially like the doll house in the upstairs closet and the princess piano in the Harry Potter room (the room under the stair case).

It was an extremely nice day. Although we did miss out on seeing all the babies at Larry and Roseanna's for the fight and Kara's birthday. It seems sometimes we have to choose where to be and no matter what we choose somebody will always feel left out.

Secrets, Secrets, Secrets

Wondering if we find out we have a secret how long we can keep it a secret. The thought of possibly having a secret is kind of exciting and extremely nerve racking too.

My recent not such a good mommy moment

Yesterday I was in the kitchen unloading the dishwasher when I realized Aiden was being way to quiet. I knew exactly what he was doing...playing in the trash from the bathroom that I left in my room. I hussled my big butt down the hall and sure enough there is Aiden with paper towels (I was cleaning the bathrooms)thrown all over the floor and his head deep into the trash bag. I took the bag from him and proceeded to pick up his mess. He decided to have a fit and cry so I quickly took the trash out front to the trash can and came back inside and closed the front door. I didn't hear the Mr. crying anymore so I assumed he was getting into more mischief in my room. I came back down the hall to find Aiden no where in sight. I called his name, no answer, called a little louder and still no answer...so I began to slightly panic wondering where the heck he could be hiding. I called his name real loud and I heard a distant mommy. I was way confused...where the heck was Aiden calling me from. I walked into his room, the Dr. Seuss Room, the Band Room, and then I found him. He was out front...I could see his head through the glass on the front door. He was peeking in at me calling mommy...mommy...mommy.

Can you see the faint red shadow in the window??? So what did i learn from this...my son is sneaking out already and he is not even 2!!!!!

Days I will remember my entire life

There are a few days in my life that I will never forget. Some for happy and some for sad reasons. Thinking about these days makes me realize what is important to me.

The day Esteban and I broke up - I will never forget this day...although I don't remember the exact date. I remember right after lunch before my 5th period Math Class, Jimmy gave me his number on a Cinnaburst wrapper. AFter school Esteban and I broke up. He threw his gum into my parents planter and sped out of the driveway. I called Jimmy that night and he talked to me for over 4 hours.

The day Stephanie, Kristy and I had Tarot Cards read - This was my sophmore year after I turned 16. We were in the village and I was dating Geoff so it was after Jimmy and I broke up. The lady told Steph that her dog was going to die, told me I had already met my husband and that he wasn't the person I was currently spending time with, but what I think I will always remember is what she told my sister. She told my sister that she had amazing powers but unfortuntely she would let the devil rule her when she turned 18. I remember thinking wow...that wasn't very nice and we only paid her $5. She was spot on though...spot on. Steph's dog died that year, I married Jimmy and Kristy became psycho on her 18th birthday.

March 3, 1999 Kristy's 18th birthday - I remember my mom callin me and telling me Kristy moved out. She waited til mom was ni the shower and dad in the bathroom grabbed all she could and ran out the door. She got into Maren's car and never came back home. I remember being pissed off at my parents becauseI told them that I had heard Kristy was going to run away on her 18th birthday and they didn't believe me. I remember thinking Kristy will be back at home by the end of the week.

The day I found out about Kristy's first lawsuit - I was living with Addy and Juan. My mom called and spoke to Juan first. Told him I was going to need him and made him promise to be there for me. My mom asked me to call a police detetctive in Claremont and wouldn't tell me why. All she said was it had to do with Kristy. I never called the police and by the next day I found out what was going on. I was devastated. I remember standing in the shower for over an hour while Addy and Juan knocked on the bathroom door. To this day I don't believe my sister did what she did.

I have more days that I want to write down so next week I'll continue. It's funny to me how moments effect our lives so much and how much we can learn about ourselves when think back to the days that impacted our lives th most.

Mommy and Me Preschool

So we started Preschool this week and it is amazingly exhausting. But I am loving eveyr minute of it.

Aiden's 1st day we fingerpainted mud puddles for a pink pig that we cut out and glued together, we practiced the alphabet, read a book, and practiced writing Aiden's name. Aiden got a lot of playtime in too.

I am surprised at how quickly kids pick things up and am kind of sad that the mister is growing up so fast, but I am also so proud. I can't imagine my life without him adn I consider myself the luckiest person in the world because he is my son.

Gma in the Elevator

Well today we finally did it. We did what I think most of us hoped we wouldn't have to do. We moved Gma in the Elevator back to Woods. Basically a convalescent home.

I visited Gma this morning in her apartment and she looked better than she had in days. So I wasn't prepared for what I saw this evening when I visited her at Woods.

I feel like we gave up on her...when I saw her tonight the tears just flowed...so naturally...like a river reaching for the sea. I saw many things as she lay there snoring...I saw my mom...I have always swore to never put my mom in a place liek that, but 110lbs of dead weight is next to impossible to move. I tried...I tried getting Gma to the toilet, I tried gettin gher out of bed, I tried feeding her water with a spoon...I failed....I saw my aunt tonight in that bed. I saw me giving up on her. Isaw me leaving her in a hospital bed to be alone and wait til the angels took her. I saw a piece of me leave with her. The tears just distored everything I saw.

The emotions are unervingly raw...I know gma is dying..>I know she wasn't always there for me, my mom, my aunt or anyone but Jack...but these past 6 months she was....Aiden will probably never remember those visits. The ones I complained about over and over...the ones I sometimes did not look forward to . But this is history...family and american history...that is slowly and I mean very slowly leaving this earth. I know to a better place....but it's not the place that I currently reside.

Some of you will agree I gave up on her...that my will wasn't as strong as hers..that I must not care about her b/c I couldn't take care of her anymore...and to those of you I say I'm sorry....I'm sorry Gma in the elevator...I'm sorry I'm sorry I couldn't help make your last wish a reality but we tried...Mom, Diane, Barb, Mando, Dad...I hope to do better for you...I hope that I have the strength physically and mentally to care for you the best way I know how and to do so until the end comes for you.

Whats going ON!!!!

I have been reading a lot about the school cut backs and all that it entails. Although I am not a teacher, a good number of my friends and family are. I have always believed that teachers don't get paid enough and are not given the respect they deserve, now it is even more aparant.
I know people who barely have a high school education working in grocery stores, ordering apples and bananas who make more than people with college educations choosing to teach the future leaders of our nation. How long ago was the Grocery Store Strike here locally? Where are the people that stood behind grocery workers as they demanded more insurance benefits and higher wages now? Why is our society not standing behind out teachers?
As a parent of a almost 2year old boy I feel like there is a ton of pressure on me right now. When to put him in preschool? Where? What is too much money to spend? Do I choose to put him in public school, private school or hell home schooling him? All the good teachers I know are seriously thinking about teaching home school? What is the answer? I was told the other day that there is a chance when Aiden gets to elementary school his history books might not even mention the great Presidential Election we just had.
My educational concerns for Aiden when he was born was just making sure I understood ADD and ADHD. I didn't want some lazy teacher demanding I medicate him. Hell now I'm worried who will be still teaching in 3 years when Aiden goes to school.

11-years ago today

It seems like a lifetime ago I had a little sister. ONe that I played with, shared secrets with, fought with and borrowed clothes from. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about her...unfortunately most of my thoughts aren't the good memories. I heard from someone that today she might have a date with the court system and I hope that they can get through to her. I hope one day she grows up and realizes what she has done and the people she has hurt. I hope one day that she gets help and wants to make amends. But I will never forget that today is your Birthday...that today when you turned 18 you destryed the family as we knew it. Although I must say you moving out wasn't the worse thing you did...it definately was the beginning of the nightmares to come.
I will say this...I MISS MY SISTER. I missed her on the day I got engaged, on my wedding day, on the day I found out I was pregnant, the day Aiden was born, the day he turned 1 and everyday. I miss the sister I new 11 years ago. I miss the sister I new 20 years ago. But the woman who walked out on her family 11 years ago I wish would disappear.
Happy Birthday, Lil Sis...when your ready to heal let us know.

Is jumping off a ledge here

So I needed to get this off my chest and although I strongly believe in how I feel I'f afraid a lot of people might not agree.
I have been following the Death at Sea World story by the Giant Killer Whale. I feel horrible for the family of the trainer and I think this was a tragedy. That being said I do NOT agree that this whale should be euthenized or returned to the wild to be killed by a natural predator. I think that Sea World is handling the situation in the very best way. Prohibiting trainers from entering the water at this time as the investigate the accident. Keeping the whale in captivity and continuing to provide it with food and medical care.
It blows my mind that there are people in our society willing to kill an animal that killed a human, whom might I add knew the dangers of her job and chose it as a profession anyway, but that some of these same people don't think men and women who harm children should be killed. I'm not saying that men and women whom harm children should be killed either...well maybe I am...but that is a different discussion.
Sorry if I offended you or am on a different side of this than you...but it is what I believe.

Confession

I am addicted to "Say Yess to the Dress" i never watched it when I was planning my wedding..in fact I didn't watch any silly wedding show. I watched Bridezilla's before the engagement and now love Say Yes to the Dress. I don't get some people's outrageous budgets and cant' ever imagine spending 4 let alone 5 figures on a dress. (mine was $800). I also am shocked at how friends and family react to some of the dresses. Barbar and Addy were perfect wedding dress shopping friends.. I will always remember the day i found my wedding dress.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

We had a GREAT Family Valentines Day. Woke up Sunday morning ready to have breakfast with both my boys. After breakfast we took Aiden to She She's house and Jimmy and I decided to hike the Claremont Wilderness Trail. After listening to many people about how difficult it was I was very proud that we made the full 5 miles in 2 hours. We surprised my mom on how quickly we were done she wasn't home yet with Aiden. so we came home and had lunch. She She dropped Aiden off around 3 and the boys and I played hide and seek. We had a yummy dinner together and settled down to watch Barney in the evening. I love spending days with my boys.

Scared...

I must say I am a little bit scared at how crazy this year is going so far. I thought maybe if I wrote it down it would go away and good things would start to happen. So here it goes.
1. Kristy returns to the family drama. Luckily this time the Detective she went to saw through her BS. I worry almost daily about my sister and wish that things were different. Nobody who has a sibling wants to get married or have a child with their sibling my there side. Luckily for me I have an amazing support system within my family and Jimmy's. But I still miss my sister and I want whats best for her. Unfortunatly I think that involves me staying as far away from her as possible and praying that one day she gets committed to a Mental Hospital and gets helped by professionals.
2. Tried as hard as my heart would allow to establish a relationship with the lady who gave birth to me. But when things got tough she decided to stay out of it and not get involved. It must be nice to choose not to be involved in the life of your children. Actually there is nothing nice about that....it is just sick. It seriously disgusts me that she won't help Kristy. I thought that maybe if I told Debbie everything about Kristy that Debbie would be able to help Kristy get help. Boy was I wrong. Debbie chose to take the easy rode once again...this was after she said and I quote "I waited this long to hear from you I can wait longer." Aiden...I'm sorry honey but your momma is going to always be there for you even when you might not want me to.
3. Finally got in to see my Doc about this 2nd baby business and to talk about some changes I have been experiencing since Aiden was born. Pap came back normal so I thought we were all good and I was being overly concerned. Then the results of the U/S came back. I know what they found is very normal in women my age and I know that I probably have nothing to worry about. But the timing couldn't be worse. I feel bad because I think I have taking Jimmy back about 7 years ago when he saw his mom get sick. But I keep telling him that this isn't the same thing. That ovarian cysts are normal in women my age and very rarely are they a bad thing. Honestly I am scared...and i don't care how normal this is. I really want to have another baby. I have always wanted 2 children. I know it is more work and I know the 2nd one might not be as even tempered as the Mr. But dammit I want 2 kids.
4. Now another crazy relative has shown her presence at a very bad time. My mom's youngest sister is on her way to my Gma's, traveling via her thumb (yeah hitchiking...I didn't even know people did that anymore). Unfortunately Tina has a rep for stealing, manipulating and a very bad drug problem. To top it off my mom, dad, aunt and uncle are all out of town. So I feel like it is my responsibility to make sure nothing bad happens to my Gma until they get back. My Gma wants me and my cousins to butt out b/c she "can" take care of herself. I hope that Tina's visit is genuine, short lived and I hope it doesn't make things worse for everyone.

At this very moment, I am letting go of the drama Kristy, Tina and Debbie have brought into my life this year. I am determined to see our luck turn and to go back to concentrating on me, Jimmy and Aiden....oh yeah and saying goodbye to my 45.

I love each of you. Thank you for supporting me and reading me rant.
